IT Infrastructure Engineer — Vabtech

Department: IT Infrastructure Services Location: Chennai (on-site, with client-site visits) Type: Full-time

What You’ll Do

Design, deploy, and configure servers, storage, and network infrastructure for client environments
Set up and manage on-premises, hybrid, and cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
Monitor server health, backups, and storage capacity, resolving issues before they become downtime
Provide AMC (Annual Maintenance Contract) support — scheduled maintenance, patching, and troubleshooting for existing clients
Plan and execute infrastructure upgrades and migrations, including cloud migration projects
Configure and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, and other core networking hardware
Diagnose and resolve network performance issues, working against client SLAs
Document infrastructure setups, configurations, and maintenance history for each client
Coordinate with the cybersecurity and cloud teams where infrastructure and security overlap
